Powering a Cleaner Future for New England with Electric Buses
The New England Electric Bus Initiative (NEEBI) is leading the charge in electrifying school and commercial buses throughout the region.
NEEBI is a collaborative effort between DeVivo Bus Sales, a leading electric bus manufacturer, and various school districts and municipalities across New England. The initiative was launched in 2020 with the deployment of the first electric school bus in Connecticut, since then, NEEBI has made significant progress in transitioning the region’s bus fleet to electric vehicles.
NEEBI’s Successes:
- Over 160 electric buses in some stage of procurement, including 20 already in operation
- Positive feedback from drivers, students, and passengers on the electric buses’ performance, reliability, and ride quality
- Valuable real-world testing data that is being used to improve after-sales support and maintenance protocols
